The work that I love to produce the most takes place in the natural Rhode Island landscape. There is nothing like the feeling of waking up at 4AM, grabbing my camera and film, and not knowing what pictures I will be lucky to get. I remember what is was like to stand there and photograph each one of these images. Unlike digital photography, when you take a picture on film you do not see the image for some time. You have to be sure of what you are doing because there is no going back. Each roll of film is hand developed to achieve a negative and each negative is hand printed in a darkroom to get a print. The old fashioned way...just the way I like it!

Pennant Postcards
Before the internet, email, texting, and even phones there were pennant postcards. They were aimed at small communities as well as large cities. Clever, funny, and even risque for the time, this was how you communicated with your sweetheart who lived far away. Popular in the first half of the 20th century, these gelatin silver prints explore Rhode Island pennant postcards.

Rocky Point Park
Rocky Point Park holds a special place in the hearts of all Rhode Islanders. Providing amusement park fun for over 100 years, Rocky Point had a rich history of national music acts, thrilling rides, a salt water swimming pool, and of course the Shore dinner hall. These gelatin silver prints trace the history of Rocky Point Park and will provide you with a nice trip down Memory Lane.
